In the spotlight

A marketing project is also assigned which will be presented to area leaders and our CEO nearing the end of the internship. Projects in the past have included: competitive analysis of local banks, evaluation of market penetration, research on crop insurance providers, and marketing plans for specific products or programs. A detailed development guide is provided which outlines the assigned project and available resources.

The internship program is kicked-off every year with a group dinner and orientation at our central office in Louisville, kentucky so interns can get to know their teammates and have an introduction to Farm Credit services of Mid America.

Furthermore, interns are taken on a two-day team building outing in July where they experience unique agribusinesses and operations in our four-state region. FCS interns have toured Beck’s Hybrids in Anderson, indiana, the Kentucky bluegrass region, and Mayfield Dairy in southeast tennessee followed by white water rafting!
